SCRIPT SMASH: A THEATRE SMASH READING SERIES

Theatre Smash presents readings of three acclaimed plays from around the world.

The reading on December 4 will be followed by the launch party for Theatre Smash’s 2011 season. Tickets are $10 at the door.Three play passes can also be purchased for $22.

Friday, Dec 3 – 8PM:
Mary by Thomas Bradshaw

A scoop on Chicago’s Goodman Theatre, where this outrageous and explosive comic absurdist play will have its world premiere in 2011. College student David invites his boyfriend home to his parents’ house in Virginia where nothing has changed since the 1800s — including the slave quarters.
Directed by Steven McCarthy. Featuring: Damien Atkins, Salvatore Antonio, Tyrone Benskin, Ordena Thompson, Michael Hanrahan and Nola Augustson. Stage Managed by Kinnon Elliott.

Saturday, Dec 4 – 8 PM:

An award-winning play by one of Germany’s hottest young playwrights, and an investigation of getting ahead in today’s image-driven and consumer-based culture. We’ve been after the rights for this razor sharp play since January 2009 and are excited to reveal its name to you at the reading on December 4!
